The surroundings
Mounted like a jewel between the Amiata Mountain and Siena, Montalcino is surrounded by the most beautiful and varied landscape of the south central region of Tuscany. It’s the Orcia Valley that prevails, of course, recognized by the UNESCO as a protected site due to its unique historical and natural characteristics. Monuments, abbeys, villas and castles are reference points in a world made of almost infinite vineyards, woods, thermal springs, cultivated fields and rain and wind shaped bare hills, a live ecosystem, still beaten by earth’s time and its guardians.
